O.K., so it's not Slipknot, but Rage Against the Machine got the Christmas Number one here in the U.K.!
It probably doesn't mean much in the U.S. of A, but here in British Empire we seem obsessed with who will have the number one single in the charts on Christmas Week. This has churned out some awful awful songs, quite often by a lame B List celebrity, or a fucking football team or a stoopid cartoon character. However, in recent years it's pretty much exclusively been the domain of whichever naive cash cow puppet the X Factor has declared as their winner. Mr Simon Cowell has ruled, until this year there was an uprising. A facebook campaign started to download RATM's "Killing in The Name Of" to upset the usual order. And it worked!! O.K., so it ain't Slipknot, but hey, I don't really care. Could've been Bon Fucken Jovi - the people got together and ruffled some feathers. And RATM are giving the proceeds to Shelter and Music Youth. That's right Maggots. Would the lame corporations have done that? No. Let's hear it for the people. Let's here it for loud aggressive mu(sic)!! HA HA!!
O.K. Here's the plan. Let's start a campaign NOW, ready for next year. I wanna here "All Hope Is Gone" in the charts next Christmas............
