this is something i've been thinking about for a long ass time and it's finally come to this, everyone leave comments please

here's a huge ass question, is you're past always just something behind you or is if you've done something wrong should you always have to live with it for the rest of your life? is redemption possible for the horrible things that people do? everyone please comment and tell me what you think as soon as you read this

    everyone makes mistakes and does things they regret, you should learn from it but dont let it bring you down drastically. trust me ive made some bigass mistakes i still regret but i try to learn from them. yeah u cant go in the past and fix anythhing but u can create a better future. thats why they say you are who you are today because of ur past...u experince and learn things in the past and u try farther develop who u were in future to become a better person. that way ull know wat to do when ur facing diff conflicts cuz ull have experince.

    Horrible things happen all the time, it is just how you handle them. ive made mistakes and have had really bad things happen to me, but i cant let that stop me from being who i want to be. you can let the horrible things shape who you are going to be now. live for what is to come and not what has happened.!! <33 Hannah

    A lot of people so that "the past is the past" and that you should move on. They make it sound so easy. ITS NOT. Its hard. Its hard as hell. A lot of times society is quicker to "forget" and "move on" then you may be. Ive done some horrible things in my past that Im not proud of. Ive been to the bottom and had to scratch and claw and kick and bite my way back. But, I have good news for you friend. It was worth every GODDAMN tear. Learn from the past embrace it. For the past will ALWAYS be with you whether you like it or not it shapes and forms the person you will be. Its up to you who that is.

    the way I see it, you have two choices ... you can carry the past around with you for the rest of your life, punish yourself for the not-so-smart decisions you made or chalk it up to experience, leave it behind you and move on. I know which one I'd pick! Good luck W

    i find that the past is done and you cant help that its done and gone, yes in away you can "repent" but its how you feel about your past is the way you jugde it i feel because we cant go back in time and if that hadnt of happened in the pass i dont think the prestant would be as it is today ..you know deep subject man, what made you think of if ?     The past is a part of who you are and in some ways can never be left behind. It has whether good or bad , helped mold you into what you are today. We are all victims of our past and if you can, try and face it so you can find a place for it in your life that isnt in the present. If you keep looking back you can never move forward. I think redemption exists for everyone if you look for it. Everyone does things they regret but if you can learn from it and understand why it happened, then it will be ok. Learning to forgive yourself is the hard part.

    it depends what you did.... for most things, I like to say the past is the past. But only if you did something you cant fix, and have no choice on making better. There are some things that can be fixed, and those things you should look to redemtion for by telling the truth and doing your best to solve the problem. i hope this helps a litttle. =) stay sic!

    I've always said the past is the past - the only way we survive is by focussing on what the future brings. (which is a reason why i hate history xD) sure, the past can have a pretty big impact on you, but it's all about what you make of the future. I'm sure we've all done some pretty hard shit, but in time, you forget about it. Just a distant memory.

    All in all, don't let your past define you. You are your own person, and you are whoever you want to be. It won't haunt you forever, if you don't let it. But if you dwell on it, it can screw you up in a big way.
