The other day I came across crowz. For those who dont know about it, it was slipknots follow up to mate.feed.kill.repeat. even though it never really got released. Anyways I gave it a listen and it was so cool to hear the band back when they didn't have a record label. Not even the knot we know today had formed yet. They were experimenting with corey on vocals in some songs and I just thought listening to this was so cool. The band has really come a long way! Its so cool to see how bands mature and find their sound. They had a couple live tracks on this album and although the quality wasnt amazing it was really cool to hear. One song that really caught me was Interloper (apple of my heart mix) They never released this song but i think it was definitely one of them that was very worthy. Its cool to hear songs that were something else in the beginning but blossomed into the songs on their debut after a little remixing. Such songs like Slipknot aka (sic) and Heartache and a pair of scissors, which of course turned into scissors. This is a must have for any die hard slipknot fan whos a little curious about the history of the band. I sure am! Aslo, check out the basement sessions, these were done in shawns basement and are the very beginning of slipknot. The band was even called Painface then until Joey suggested they change there name to the title of their first song... Slipknot, and of course, it stuck. Well thanks for reading.
