One of Slipknot's brothers died last monday, May 24, 2010. I've watched the press conference regarding this. And it's obvious that the band was very emotional about the demise of one of their comrades. Can't say i blame 'em. Even i was shocked about the news. Paul was very special to Slipknot, and of course to the maggots such as myself. Without him, Slipknot wouldn't be who and what they are today. That's why it's very disappointing, that one of them has to go so soon. And the one person who was hurt the most is his wife, Brenna , because she was expecting their first child at the time of Paul's death. Very sad. The baby will never have the chance to see his/her father.
Now Slipknot, with only 8 members left, is now working on their side projects. Taylor and Root is working on a new album with their original, and returning band, Stone Sour. And Jordison, who has just finished touring with Rob Zombie, returns with HIS band, the Murderdolls, alongside frontman, Wednesday 13, and is now working on their new album, on which both bands are expecting their new album to come out within this year.
Well, i guess we have no choice but to move on with our lives, even though it hurts. But i can assure you........ Paul Gray will ALWAYS be remembered as "The Essence of Slipknot".
Paul, on behalf of all the maggots all over the world, we love you, and we miss you.
