After watching this site and band deteriorate over the last few years, I've decided I'm done. This site and membership to it are a joke. This isn't about letting us into the band's world, it's about bilking us for as much money as the band and it's management can make. while SK is one of the best live bands I've ever witnessed, their music has taken a turn for the worse. some of the band members are extremely cool, but management has put up a wall between them and the fans that alienates many (myself included). While I met some decent people on here that I consider friends, I laugh at the backstabbers (Jojo, doom, etc...) that act like friends and confidants one second and the next talk about you like a dog behind your back. The true friends shared many details with me from moderator talks to other things very personal about different members. The only thing I can truly say Slipknot got right is People=Shit. The 10 year anniversary package is one helluva joke. A re-release is pathetic to commemorate 10 years in the industry. Box sets are nothing new and just another way to gauge individuals of their hard earned money in these difficult economic times. What's even more pathetic is that the big concert scheduled for 9-9-09 didn't happen. But, that's par for this band. Look at how many shows they've cancelled or postponed over their last two albums. While it's taken me a long time to remove the blinders, I'm glad I can now see what a waste this place is!
